Bandung (Reportase One) –
The West Java Regional Police said that the peak of the 2023 Lebaran homecoming flow on the southern route which starts from the Nagreg area, Bandung Regency, towards Garut and Tasikmalaya Regencies has been passed.
West Java Deputy Chief of Police Brigadier General Pol. Bariza Sulfi said the traffic flow on Thursday or H-2 of Eid 2023 was less than Wednesday (19/4) or H-3 of Eid 2023.
“Dirlantas and the Garut Police Chief said that the traffic flow today is less than yesterday,” Bariza said at the Cikaledong Nagreg Service Post, Bandung Regency, Thursday.
Bariza assessed that the majority of travelers departed on D-3 Eid 2023 because the community chose to go to their hometown earlier to prepare for Eid 2023 if it falls on Friday (21/4).

“Because today there is an Isbat meeting, maybe they left earlier to prepare for it,” said Bariza.
Meanwhile, Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol. Kusworo Wibowo said the number of vehicles crossing Nagreg on D-2 began to decrease compared to D-3.
He noted that the number of vehicles crossing Nagreg on D-3 from 00.00 WIB to 12.00 WIB was almost the same as the number of vehicles on D-2 from 00.00 WIB to 15.00 WIB.
“But we don’t know after the Tarawih prayer, what it will be like after Maghrib, we will still try our best to anticipate everything that will happen,” said Kusworo.
The Bandung Regency Transportation Office noted that the number of vehicles crossing Nagreg for 24 hours on D-3 Eid 2023 was 129 thousand.
