Reportase.one – The Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo, who was just appointed at the State Palace on Monday (3/4/2023), received three special directions from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The directions conveyed included the continuation of the program of the previous minister, Zainuddin Amali, and other major sporting events in the near future.
Jokowi’s first directive was that at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia, Indonesia could gain many medals. Dito was asked to prioritize sports that have medal potential.
“So it has to be efficient but we get good medal results,” said Dito after being sworn in.
Furthermore, Dito was asked to develop sports leagues massively. In fact, competition must be intensively carried out since the school level and in the villages.

“Second, the President’s directives want sports leagues to be massively implemented at the level of school and college education levels, and also for the people. We are asked to promote leagues between villages,” he said.
Finally, Dito said the President highlighted the growing ecosystem of the Indonesian sports industry. Jokowi said he wanted youth to be involved in order to create a professional spirit and spark entrepreneurial desires.
“Pak President wants the development of youth to be more towards entrepreneurship and professionalism, and with the achievement of the youth index to increase,” he concluded.
Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially appointed Dito Ariotedjo as the Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) for the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet for the 2019-2024 period at the State Palace, Central Jakarta, on Monday (3/4/2023). Thus, the chair of Menpora left by Zainuddin Amali has been filled by Dito.
Dito’s appointment is in accordance with Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 26/P/2023 concerning the Appointment of the Menpora of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. Together with Dito, Jokowi also appointed Komjen Rycko Amelza Daniel as Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT).

The event began with the Deputy for Administrative Apparatus of the Ministry of State Secretariat Nanik Purwanti reading out RI Presidential Decree Number 26/P of 2023 which contained the appointment of Dito as Menpora and Presidential Decree 51/TPA of 2023 regarding the dismissal and appointment of the Head of the BNPT.
After that it was followed by singing the Indonesian Raya song. Then, Jokowi read out the oath of office and was followed by Dito and Rycko.
“By Allah, I swear that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will implement all laws and regulations as strictly as possible for the sake of my service to the nation and state,” said the oath of office read by Jokowi.
“That in carrying out my duties, I will uphold the ethics of the office, work as best as I can, with a full sense of responsibility,” he continued.
After that, the two of them signed the minutes of the inauguration. The event ended with Jokowi greeting the two of them.
It is known, this man whose full name is Ario Bimo Nandito Ariotedjo will replace Zainudin Amali who resigned from the Menpora chair. Dito Ariotedjo is one of the names proposed by Golkar chairman Airlangga Hartarto to President Jokowi.
Dito Ariotedjo is the general chairman of the DPP Indonesian Youth Renewal Force (AMPI) for the 2017-2022 period, a youth organization under the Golkar Party. It is known that Dito was also the Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Golkar’s 58th Anniversary last year.
The man who was born in Jakarta, September 25, 1990 is a businessman who in 2021 worked with Raffi Ahmad and the CEO of Prestige Motor to form Rans Sport.
Dito has also served as Chef de Mission of the Indonesian contingent to the 2018 Argentina Youth Olympics and has been an administrator for the DKI Jakarta Indonesian Bicycle Sport Association (ISSI).
He also serves as Chairman of Rans Nusantara FC which competes in Liga 1 2022/2023 and is part of Rans PIK Basketball in the Indonesia Basketball League (IBL).
