Padang (Reportase One) – The third perpetrator of the persecution of two female karaoke guides in Lengayang Pesisir Selatan District, West Sumatra some time ago finally surrendered to the police.

Pesisir Selatan Police Chief AKBP Novianto Taryono accompanied by Head of PID Aiptu Doni Santoso in a written statement in Padang, Monday, said the suspect who surrendered was the initials IJ (47), a resident of Pasar Gompong Kenagariab Kambang Barat, Lengayang District, Pesisir Selatan Regency.

He stated that the three suspects had been arrested. Chronologically, one person was arrested by a joint team from the Resmob Ditreskrimum Polda W Sumatra.

Then two other suspects surrendered to the communication approach from the family and the police.

The suspect surrendered to the Satreskrim Polres Pesisir Selatan through the Macan Beetle Opsnal Team regarding the victim’s report that a video of two women being persecuted by a local resident located in Pasir Putih Kambang, Lengayang District, Pesisir Selatan District, Saturday (8/4) around 23.30 WIB.

Previously the Head of the Pessel Police AKBP Novianto Taryono said the three suspects were the conclusion of the previous examination of 13 witnesses.

From the results of the examination, it narrowed down to three people who were strongly suspected of being suspects who have now been arrested.

“For now, we have secured three perpetrators in this case, the first AK (38), the second E (47) and the third J (47). This could increase according to the dynamics of investigations and investigations carried out intensively by Satreskrim,” he said.

He thanked the families of the two suspects for handing over their families to take responsibility for their actions.

“We will guarantee the suspect’s rights according to the applicable regulations,” he said.

He also asked the suspects to provide true information about the events that occurred, and to follow legal procedures cooperatively so that all the perpetrators in the case would be exposed clearly according to their respective roles.

Meanwhile Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pesisir Selatan Police AKP Andra Nova said the three suspects could be subject to criminal sanctions as referred to in Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning criminal acts of sexual violence.

Then Law Number 44 of 2008 concerning pornography and article 170 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.

“We will further explore what their respective roles are in this case,” he said.
