The KPK took three suitcases after searching the Bandung City Hall

Bandung (Reportase One) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Monday took three black suitcases suspected of containing documents after searching the Bandung City Hall, West Java, for five hours.

Based on observations at the location, the three suitcases that allegedly contained documents in the alleged corruption case that ensnared the inactive Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, were put in two of the three cars carrying KPK investigators.

The three suitcases were likely obtained by KPK officers from three rooms searched by KPK investigators, namely the Bandung Mayor’s Room, the Bandung Deputy Mayor’s Room, and the Bandung City Transportation Service Area Traffic Control System (ATCS) office.

“Earlier the inspection (search) was carried out at the Mayor’s Office, Deputy Mayor, ATCS, and the Office of the Transportation Agency,” said Bandung Mayor Ema Sumarna’s Daily Executor (Plh) at the Bandung City Hall, Monday.

Ema Sumarna admitted that she did not know for sure the type and number of documents brought by the KPK during today’s search. However, he did not deny that there were paper documents and “hard drives” from the ATCS room.

“It seems there is, but I don’t know for sure,” he said.

Ema Sumarna admitted that when the search was carried out, the KPK placed seals on the rooms being examined. But now it has been opened and can be used as before.

A number of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators searched various rooms at the Bandung City Hall, West Java, Monday afternoon.

KPK investigators came to the Bandung City Hall at around 12.00 WIB regarding the alleged corruption case that ensnared the non-active Mayor of Bandung Yana Mulyana.

The KPK investigators got off the black minibus and headed straight to the living room of the Bandung City Hall. From that room, the investigators were then seen spreading to two rooms, namely the Bandung Mayor’s Room, the Bandung Mayor’s Deputy Room, and the Bandung ATCS Room.

This search is related to a case of alleged corruption, bribery and receiving gratuities for the procurement of CCTV and internet service providers for the “Bandung Smart City” Project for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year.
