Preparation Smooth, Indonesian Badminton National Team Ready to Fight at All England 2023

Reportase.one – The manager of the Indonesian Badminton National Team, Rionny Mainaky, said that the preparations for the athletes through the first practice went smoothly and it was confirmed that all of them were ready to compete in the first round of the All England 2023 in Birmingham, England, Tuesday (14/3/2023).

“In general, all sectors are good. Concentration is good, movement is also good, and most importantly they are in good health,” said Rionny as published by Antara, Monday (13/3/2023).

On Monday morning local time, all Indonesian national team badminton players underwent training and field trials at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham ahead of the BWF Super 1000 level tournament.

During the training session, the Garuda squad had the opportunity to try out field conditions for two hours which were divided into two sessions alternately. The first session is used by the women’s singles and doubles sectors, while the second session is given to women’s singles and doubles, as well as mixed doubles.

According to Rionny, most members of the national team are familiar with the characteristics of the All England arena, which makes movements not too fast.

“Like in previous years, playing in this arena, the shuttlecock is definitely not too fast, so you need patience. I see the children are ready to perform optimally in the first game,” he said.

The man who is also the Head of Development and Achievement Division (Kabid Binpres) PP PBSI hopes that the focus that has been formed from today’s training can continue into tomorrow’s matches.

“Everything is ready. Some of the children will play tomorrow, some the day after tomorrow. After the Managers Meeting this afternoon, the schedule will be released. I hope that the good focus in this practice can continue into the matches,” said Rionny.

Previously, the Red and White Squad focused on resting upon arrival in England, Saturday (11/3). The trip from Jakarta to Birmingham which took up to 16 hours made all members of the national team exhausted.
