Jakarta (Reportase One) – The Palestinian Embassy in Indonesia strongly condemns the brutal attack by the Israeli occupation army on worshipers at the Al Aqsa Mosque.
“Israeli occupation forces illegally invaded Al Aqsa Mosque, barbarously attacked men, women and children, detained more than 500 people illegally,” said the Palestinian Embassy in a statement in Jakarta, Friday.
The Israeli occupation forces also blocked ambulances from treating hundreds of injured people, causing damage to the Al Aqsa Mosque, including starting a fire at one location.
Palestine reiterated that Israel does not have any sovereignty over any part of the Al-Aqsa Mosque Complex.
The Palestinian congregation has the absolute right to pray freely and safely in and around the Al Aqsa compound, at any time and at any time, without obstruction or violence, the Palestinian Embassy said.
Israel’s aggression against the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque Complex is a horrific attack on the basic right of Palestinians to worship freely in its holy site, especially during the holy month of fasting.

In an action classed as a gross violation of principles of international law, Israel imposed arbitrary restrictions on when and how Palestinians can pray while inviting and encouraging Israeli settlers to carry out highly provocative and illegal attacks on the holy site.
Israel’s systematic brutalization and deliberate provocations reflect the Israeli occupation’s drive to provoke and initiate religious confrontation, the Palestinian embassy said.
They must be confronted and stopped by all responsible international actors, the Palestinian Embassy added
The Palestinian embassy said the international community must hold Israel and its officials accountable for their crimes.
The Palestinian people will continue to exercise their right to defend Jerusalem, its mosques and churches, from Israeli aggression.
“We ask the Indonesian government and all supporters of an independent Palestine in this country to intervene and activate international legal mechanisms and international humanitarian law, to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for the continuous violations against Palestinian civilians and worshipers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque,” said Palestinian Embassy.
The international community must take the necessary steps to help stop human rights violations and war crimes committed by Israel, the Palestinian embassy concluded.
