Denpasar (Reportase One) – The Ngurah Rai Bali Special Class I Immigration Office has deported a foreign citizen (foreigner) from Ukraine who abused his residence permit because he worked as a photographer while on the Island of the Gods.
“We deported him and his name has been included in the list of deterrence,” said Head of the Ngurah Immigration Office Class I Special Ngurah Rai Sugito in Denpasar, Saturday.
It was said that the Ukrainian citizen with the initials HB was deported this Saturday through I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, to the Philippines and Dubai.
The 32-year-old woman previously entered Indonesia on February 15 2023 via I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport using the visa on arrival (VoA) facility.
Previously, said Sugito, he had extended his residence permit so that it ended on Sunday (16/4).
However, while in Bali, he continued, HB turned out to be working as a photographer, based on surveillance and intelligence information.
HB was arrested by a member of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Team (Inteldakim) while carrying out his work at a fashion event in Bali.
“This is not the first time the perpetrator has come to Indonesia,” he said.
Based on the results of the examination, said Sugito, HB was proven to have carried out activities that were not in accordance with his residence permit by working as a photographer.
Against this violation, the person concerned is subject to Article 75 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, namely deportation.
The return flight ticket, he continued, was borne by HB personally.
On the other hand, he asked all foreigners visiting Bali to always behave in an orderly manner by respecting the laws and cultural values ​​of the Balinese people. This is because every violation will be dealt with strictly in order to uphold the honor and authority of the state before the world.
He also thanked the public for proactively monitoring and reporting various types of violations or suspected violations by foreign nationals.
