“So we are looking for coordination with Bareskrim, together we will look for those concerned,”
Jakarta (Reportase One) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has coordinated with Bareskrim Polri to find and present Mahendra Dito Sampurno alias Dito Mahendra as a witness in the investigation of two different cases.
“So we are looking for coordination with Bareskrim, together we will look for those concerned,” said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu in Jakarta Sunday.
Asep said the anti-corruption agency had submitted a request to the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to ban Dito Mahendra from going abroad.
It is known that Dito Mahendra has repeatedly absent himself from summons by KPK investigators and has also been absent from summons by Bareskrim Polri investigators.
“There is a statement from Mr Kabareskrim regarding a request for Dito to attend, because until now he has not been present, as well as our case handling at the KPK, we also summoned Dito’s brother until yesterday he was not present,” he said.
Dito Mahendra is one of the witnesses in the money laundering crime case (TPPU) for the suspect, former Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Nurhadi, which is currently being handled by the KPK.
Dito Mahendra’s name became in the public spotlight after KPK investigators searched his house in South Jakarta, because the KPK investigators instead found 15 firearms, some of which were suspected of being illegal firearms.
The Directorate of General Crimes (Dittipidum) Bareskrim Polri said nine of the 15 firearms found in Dito’s house were unlicensed or illegal weapons.
The Bareskrim Polri issued a summons accompanied by a forced pick-up against Dito Mahendra after the businessman failed to attend summons by investigators twice to be questioned as a witness in a case of illegal firearms possession.
