Reportase.one, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo or Jokowi emphasized that Indonesia is open to collaborating and investing with all countries in the 2023 Hannover Messe for shared prosperity.
President Jokowi conveyed this while giving remarks at the inauguration of the world’s largest technology exhibition Hannover Messe 2023, in which Indonesia was designated as official partner country.
“Indonesia invites German investors to participate in building a green economy in Indonesia. Once again, Indonesia is very open to collaboration, to invest. Let’s collaborate for mutual prosperity,” said President Jokowi at the Hannover Congress Centrum, Germany, Sunday, April 16, 2023.
Jokowi said it was an honor for Indonesia to become a Hannover Messe partner country again.
“Making Indonesia 4.0 is a very relevant theme for Indonesia which is carrying out economic transformation through innovation and technology,” Jokowi said.
Jokowi also explained that Indonesia has two big strategies, namely downstream and green economy. Regarding downstreaming, Indonesia is believed to have abundant natural resources, demographic bonuses, a large market and a well-maintained economy.
“We have big capital and we want to be a big player in this industry,” said President Jokowi.
President Jokowi also emphasized that Indonesia is not closing itself, in fact Indonesia is very open to investment and cooperation in building downstream industries in Indonesia.
