Bandung (Reportase One) –
PT Jasa Marga operates 12 substations at the Cileunyi Toll Gate (GT), Bandung Regency, West Java, for the 2023 Lebaran homecoming flow.
Manager of the Purbaleunyi Toll Road Area, Agus Pramono, said that the 12 booths consist of booths that enter and exit the toll road. Previously, he said, only 11 units operated substations.
“Based on the latest data on H-7, there were around 30,000 vehicles leaving GT Cileunyi,” said Agus in Bandung, Sunday.
With the substation and MR, he explained, GT Cileunyi could handle up to 3,000 vehicles making transactions within one hour.
“This capacity can be 3,000 vehicles in one hour, so this is very sufficient,” he said.
However, if there are long queues at GT Cileunyi, he said, his party together with the Bandung Police will divert the flow so that the vehicles of travelers will continue towards the Cisumdawu Toll Road.
Meanwhile, Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol Kusworo Wibowo said there were 10 MR units prepared at the toll gate and used interchangeably while adjusting battery conditions.
“So technically, in the queue at the toll gate, a ‘mobile reader’ is used in the back row so that when there are two vehicles at the same time, they can transact in that lane at the same time,” said Kusworo.
