Asked about the estimated value of losses for MSMEs due to the cancellation of the U-20 World Cup in Indonesia, Edy did not answer clearly. However, he reiterated that the cancellation of the event was not a matter of loss, but the potential for profit to be cancelled.
“Earlier we hoped that our hotel or inn could be filled, we had hoped merchandise we can sell it, we were expecting a, b, c, d. It turned out to be a dream,” he said.
However, Edy appealed to MSME players not to get discouraged and have to accept this decision. “Although events this will not be implemented, the SMEs will not collapse.
