BRI Group Prepares 7,500 Free Homecoming Seats for Customers

BUSINESS INFO – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI together with two other Ultra Micro Holding entities that are members of the BRI Group, namely PT Pegadaian and PT Permodalan Nasional Madani or PNM synergize and accommodate as many as 7,500 customers to enjoy free homecoming. The free homecoming is a joint BUMN Homecoming Program for the 2023 Eid period initiated by the Republic of Indonesia’s Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

With the synergy this year, 150 buses are prepared to take travelers to the homecoming routes, which as a whole, the number of routes this year is more than last year. “With the synergy between the BRI Ultra Micro Holdings, the number of travelers we facilitate can increase, where last year there were 2,202 travelers with 45 buses, now there are 7,500 travelers with 150 buses,” said Deputy Director of BRI Catur Budi Harto.

The program, which has the theme “Homecoming Expected, Homecoming in the Heart” is intended to support government programs to improve service, smoothness, and public safety during the Eid 2023 transportation period. The BRI Group supports the government’s efforts to provide safe homecoming facilities for the public. “This is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to bring more value to all of society, including our customers,” said Catur.

Together the 2023 BUMN Joint Homecoming Flag Off was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta on April 18 2023 attended by the Indonesian Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir and the Minister of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia Budi Karya Sumadi, as well as representatives of BUMN involved in this program.

BRI Group will accompany travelers with their respective routes. BRI provides 76 buses with a target of 3,600 home travelers who will take them to the Jakarta-Yogyakarta route (via the South Route), the Jakarta-Wonogiri route (via the Pantura Toll Road), and the Jakarta-Madura route.

Then PT Pegadaian provides 69 buses for 2,691 travelers with the routes taken are Jakarta–Surabaya, Semarang–Surabaya, Bandung–Surabaya, Denpasar–Surabaya, Makassar–Mamuju, Manado–Gorontalo, Balikpapan–Banjarmasin, Palembang–Semarang, Pekanbaru–Medan, and Medan-Pekanbaru.

Finally, PNM provides 5 buses with a target of 250 travelers who are its customers. The routes taken are Jakarta-Semarang and Jakarta-Solo. All homecoming participants in this program will also receive benefits in the form of homecoming t-shirts and caps, goodie bags, consumption money, booster/antigen vaccines, and life insurance from BRILife.

This facility can be enjoyed by the general public including the BRI Fostered Cluster (Starling Prapatan Menteng Cluster and Tempe Radio Dalam Cluster), Mekaar/Umi Partner customers, BRILink Agents, Retail Customers (SME), and Institutions. In this way, the implementation of this program is in line with the synergy objectives of the BRI Ultra Micro (Umi) Holding, which is to provide the widest possible range of services to the Ultra Micro community.

Customers in the ultra micro segment can again enjoy benefits beyond the empowerment that each cluster has so far received. As is known, so far Holding Umi has carried out several strategic initiatives in the form of customer integration by providing full transaction capability And personalized offers. The goal is to integrate solutions cross selling that suit the needs of customers.

Holding Ultra Micro has contributed to the growth of BRI’s financing composition, especially in the micro segment which includes ultra micro. It was noted that the BRI Group was able to drive the growth of micro segment loans from IDR 483.9 trillion in 2021 to IDR 551.3 trillion in 2022, growing by 13.9 percent on an annual basis. Currently Holding Ultra Micro has successfully integrated more than 34 million customers.

As is well known, the Ultra Micro Holding between BRI, Pegadaian and PNM which was officially formed on September 13 2021 is intended to provide the widest possible range of services to people in the ultra micro segment by providing financial services and products more efficiently. Holding Ultra Mikro is targeted to be able to serve 45 million customers in 2024.
