Reportase.one, Jakarta – ASUS announced the availability of the latest laptop for the business segment in the Indonesian market, namely the ASUS ExpertBook P1412. This laptop is intended for various industrial sectors with various business scales, from MSMEs to corporations, including government agencies.
Jimmy Lin, Regional Director of ASUS South East Asia, said the company will comply with government regulations regarding Domestic Component Level Policy. “It has been our responsibility as the largest consumer laptop manufacturer in Indonesia for the last 10 years to contribute to industry growth by complying with government regulations,” said Jimmy Lin in his statement, Monday, March 27, 2023.
Since the fourth quarter of 2022, ASUS has started to develop laptop production in Indonesia and the ExpertBook P1 (P1412) series is its first product. The laptop has also started distribution in early 2023.
Yulianto Hasan, Director of Commercial Products, ASUS Indonesia, said that in the future ASUS Indonesia will develop domestic laptop production lines. By producing laptops in Indonesia, ASUS hopes to contribute to development and transfer technology to the nation’s children and also create new jobs.

In accordance with the intended target market, the ASUS ExpertBook P1412 is available in a wide selection of specifications and in large quantities. For this reason, ASUS chose to produce the ExpertBook P1 (P1412) with the 11th generation Intel Core which can be produced in any quantity.
ASUS ExpertBook P1 (P1412) is claimed to be a basic laptop that delivers powerful performance and immersive visuals. The device is available with a choice of Intel Core i3 to Intel Core i7 processors, and comes with a NanoEdge display and a screen with a viewing angle of up to 178° complete with a matte anti-glare coating for a more comfortable experience.
Inside a compact laptop body, an Intel Core processor is combined with DDR4-3200MHz RAM with a capacity of up to 24GB. The large capacity and upgradeable RAM will be beneficial for various industries that need a work platform that can be used in the long term.
For storage, users can enjoy high-speed storage and large capacity at the same time. The existence of a dual-storage design that is used by laptops, can accommodate PCIe SSDs of up to 1 TB capacity and also more affordable SATA hard drives or SSDs, with capacities of up to 1 TB.
